Metal-acid reaction

Even a cooler video - the copper coin disappeared (actually reacted completely) with concentrated nitric acid.

Hi Crystal,

The acid in coke is called carbonic acid which is considered very weak and diluted. Thus, coke would not react violently with the coin (and certainly will not make the coin disappear).
